We grew up going every single year to the Washington State Fair. It became a tradition as a kid. As an adult on a budget now, I look forward to going just to look at things in the exhibits and to eat all the fair food! I just found out the schedule and am going to jot it on the calendar to plan ahead.
I entered one of my afghans in the fair last year and found out that the first day of the fair is a get in free day with donating food so we took advantage of that. I have included a couple of days that are free for parents AND for kids.
Free Gate Food Drive. On opening day (Sept 11th), get in FREE at any Fair gate between 9 and noon by bringing a suggested donation of a non-perishable food item.
FREE Kids’ Weekend: BECU is sponsoring a free kids’ weekend. Print and bring this coupon from the BECU website to get your kids 18 and under in for free on September 11th and 12th only. Coupon is required for free admission. You do not need to be BECU members to use the coupon. (Remember that kids 5 and under are always free.) One coupon is required per child, but it does not appear that there is any limit to the number of coupons you can print.

Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend!
